Chronograf téměř zadarmo!
Nejprve si sežeňte obyčejnou plechovku. Nejlépe poslouží například od Coly, nebo Sprite. Plechovky jiných značek, nebo od piva, nejsou příliš vhodné, protože mohou mít rozdílnou tloušťku plechu. 
Podle zkušeností, které mám, se na celém světe vyrábějí úplně stejné plechovky od Coly a Sprite. Na plechovce jsou tři základní body, které reprezentují pevnost a tloušťku. Jsou to strany, dno a vršek (v tomto pořadí). I když se strany zdají velmi tenké a snadno prorazitelné, budete asi velmi překvapeni když zjistíte, že normální "elektrika" s kuličkami 0,20g, má problém to prostřelit. Normální nepředělaná MP5A5 , bude mít opravdu potíže prostřelit aspoň jednu stranu. Stačí ale, abyste plechovku trochu zmáčkly a povrch udělali víc placatý, a prostřelit jí už nebude takový problém. může to zvládnout i ta nejobyčejnější pistole s energií 0,3J. Pro naše měření to ale nedělejte, protože se snažíme získat co možná nejoptimálnější výsledky. Abyste mohli začít s testem, musíte si nejprve zvolit, který povrch plechovky pro vás bude nejlepší:
- Pokud máte "elektriku", mechanickou, nebo plynovou pistoli jen mírně upravenou, nebo vůbec neupravovanou, pak použijeme strany.
- Pokud máte zbraň středně upgradovanou, střílejte na střed dna.
- Jestliže ani to vám nečiní problémy a kulička plechovku prostřelí, pak střílejte na kraj dna. Na místě, kde dno přechází ve stěny.Tam je plech pevnější.
- No a pro opravdu maximálně upgradované zbraně střílejte na vršek plechovky. To je to nejpevnější místo.
Tady je tabulka průměrných rychlostí (m/s) pro vaši zbraň. Podmínkou je, aby šlo pouze o jediný výstřel a kulička musí stěnou proletět a skončit minimálně uvnitř plechovky. Nepočítá se prodiravění bez průletu kuličky dovnitř.

Samozřejmě ale nic nenahradí skutečný přístroj. Střílení do plechovek je ale nejrychlejší a nejúčinější způsob, jak změřit sílu vaší zbraně.
